Guitar Beginner

In this course, students learn skills learn beginner level Guitar including performing basic music notation on guitar, basic chord shapes and common chord progressions, accompanying rhythm/strumming patterns for Latin American styles, building on their Latin American music repertoire.Skills learned in this course will progressively challenge the student in different and creative ways; and require learning different techniques and knowledge of the instrument. To gain the most benefit, it is recommended that students enroll in this course a minimum of four (4) sessions.

Zabdiel Santiago, Music Education Manager & Instructor, is a Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico graduate with advanced studies in music education and piano performance. With over 20 years of teaching and directing ensembles, he now leads PRAA’s Latin Music Project, overseeing curriculum, school programming, and inspiring award-winning young musicians.
