Desde Mi Barrio

Join us for a concert series presented by our Latin Music Project. This series features local and national musicians while celebrating the rich music of Puerto Rico and other Latinx cultures.

Felisa Rincón de Gautier Leadership Awards

Created in 2017, the Felisa Rincón de Gautier Distinguished Woman Award honors the first female mayor of a capital city in the Americas. Presented annually, it recognizes women whose leadership, service, and advocacy reflect Rincón de Gautier’s legacy, inspiring others through their distinguished contributions to community and country.

Noche Caribeña

Since 2017, PRAA’s FREE Noche Caribeña concert at Navy Pier has showcased cuatristas, international and local artists, and emerging talent. Featuring Puerto Rican, Afro-Caribbean, and Latin American genres, this summer event offers vibrant music against the stunning backdrop of Chicago’s lakefront, drawing residents and visitors alike.

Carlos Flores: A ChicagoRican Story

Carlos Flores: A ChicagoRican Story presents a multifaceted portrait of Puerto Rican life in Chicago through photography, family history, and cultural production. The exhibition traces the Flores family’s migration from Guayama, Puerto Rico, to Chicago, situating Carlos Flores’s work within broader narratives of Puerto Rican migration, settlement, and community formation in the Midwest.
