Spanning documentary, portraiture, and conceptual practices, the exhibition centers women as cultural storytellers shaping transnational Caribbean narratives.
Carlos Flores: A ChicagoRican Story presents a multifaceted portrait of Puerto Rican life in Chicago through photography, family history, and cultural production. The exhibition traces the Flores family’s migration from Guayama, Puerto Rico, to Chicago, situating Carlos Flores’s work within broader narratives of Puerto Rican migration, settlement, and community formation in the Midwest.
