Sound Engineering
This beginner-level course introduces students to the foundational principles of audio engineering. Students will explore how sound works, gaining a solid understanding of its physical properties and how it's captured, shaped, and reproduced. The course covers essential audio equipment and introduces Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), giving students the tools to navigate the digital audio environment with confidence.Through hands-on projects, students will record, edit, and mix audio, developing core technical skills and creative instincts. In addition to technical training, the course encourages students to think critically about sound in a range of audio disciplines—from music production to film, podcasts, and beyond—helping them build a broader perspective on the role of audio in media and communication.
