Jose Luis worked for ten years at Social and Educational Services, a non-profit organization in Uptown, Chicago. He then worked as a bilingual teacher/program coordinator at Muñoz Marin Primary Center, Chicago Public Schools, for five years. After this, Jose Luis worked as assistant principal for 13 years at Muñoz Marin Primary Center, Gale Academy, and Sandoval Elementary School, Chicago Public Schools.
He worked for 12 years as principal of Madero Middle School, Chicago Public Schools. Jose Luis completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration at North Park University. Jose has a Master of Science Degree in Management and Development of Human Resources from National Louis University, a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from DePaul University, and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University. Jose Luis has a Doctorate in Education Leadership, specializing in Educational Superintendency from Capella University.
