The Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA) invites you to partner with us to bring high-quality, standards-aligned music education to your school community.

The Latin Music Project (LMP) transcends traditional music instruction, offering a culturally grounded, performance-based experience that cultivates technical skill, cultural identity, and joyful learning. Through this program, students are immersed in Puerto Rican music and heritage while developing as confident, collaborative young musicians


The Vision
PRAA delivers a dynamic music curriculum centered on the Cuatro—the national instrument of Puerto Rico.

This proprietary curriculum, developed and owned by PRAA, integrates rigorous music instruction with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to help students:

• Develop musicianship through performance

The Curriculum:

The Latin Music Project curriculum is developed by our team of expert Teaching Artists—professional, classically trained musicians and culturally rooted educators.

It reflects PRAA’s decades of experience delivering high-impact arts education across Chicago and is intentionally designed to be:
