Women's Economic Leadership Advocate, Social Entrepreneur, and Coffee Manufacturer
Angelique Sina is a women’s economic leadership advocate, social entrepreneur and coffee manufacturer. She is the President and Founder of Friends of Puerto Rico and the Metro Women’s Business Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico, advancing sustainable entrepreneurship growth for women and youth.
Founded in 2015 while she was at the World Bank Group, Friends of Puerto Rico creates pathways to economic mobility through entrepreneurship and agriculture. At the core of her work is SEEDS, a youth entrepreneurship program linked to Café Ama Love, a social-impact coffee brand grown and produced at Panorama Farm, where she mentors young people and women to build viable businesses. Cafe Ama Love is the only Puerto Rican Coffee sold on Capitol Hill.
Angelique is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico–Aguadilla, with advanced studies at Johns Hopkins University, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and ongoing executive studies at Georgetown University. In 2016, she was appointed Commissioner for the Latino Community by the Mayor of Washington, D.C. Her leadership roles include Trustee of the New York Foundling, Vice President of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and President of the University of Puerto Rico Foundation.
